Future In Our Hands The Gambia (FIOHTG), an organization that aims to bring education closer to vulnerable communities and strengthen their capacity to fight poverty through its Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Unit (MEAL) on Monday 18th March, 2024 validated the MEAL Policy (2024-2028) held at FIOHTG Conference hall in Kotu South.
The MEAL policy will help systematise data collection, tracking, reporting, accountability processes and learning sessions. The Manual will strengthen accountability, learning, data collection, storage, utilisation and reporting.
The validation covered essential topics in the policy notably, general roles and responsibilities, reporting types and schedules, communicating results, data governance and monitoring for results etc.
Speaking at the event, Jainaba T. Sarr, the Country Director, FIOHTG expressed appreciation to the MEAL unit for developing the policy. She stated that the policy seeks to holistically look at monitoring, reporting and accountability processes.
The validation was led by the MEAL Manager, Muhammed Lenn.
