Aminata Ceesay, Think Equal Project Manager at Future In Our Hands, The Gambia, has attended a weeklong Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership in Egypt.
The confab, which brought 150 young leaders worldwide, was designed to foster connections among participants and create an atmosphere of shared enthusiasm and collaboration for an impactful, transformative journey.
“I had the privilege of hearing directly from prominent Egyptian leaders about their enduring resilience over the centuries. Their insights into creativity, archaeology, culture, and history have left a lasting impression,” Aminata stated.
She pointed out that they had the opportunity to visit the Gamal Abdel Nasser Museum, which reflects the legacy of justice and leadership that has significantly influenced the Global South.
This visit deepened our understanding of historical contexts, as we toured key areas of the museum, including Nasser’s private quarters and essential decision-making rooms. The experience was further enhanced by a seminar featuring remarks from distinguished national figures, which enriched our dialogue on leadership and history.
She said that the experience so far has not only broadened her perspective but has further reinforced the importance of unity and shared purpose among young leaders across the globe.
