STAR PROJECT

The Strengthening Transparency, Accountability and Resilience in the Gambia is funded by the EU and is being implemented by FIOHTG (lead applicant), FAWEGAM and TANGO (as co-applicants). The Project has the following objectives.

• To establish a baseline on the progress of the NDP with reference to education
• To enlighten and build the capacity of stakeholders on the status quo of education in The Gambia
• To enhance the capacity of CSO/NGO on research and evidence base reporting to promote transparency and accountability.
• To engage target groups (central and regional authorities) for the efficient delivery of better educational services especially for the differently able persons.
• To advocate for peace building, gender mainstreaming, climate change, environment and natural resources management which are cross – cutting issues in the education sector development.
