Future In Our Hands The Gambia has been selected by the World Movement for Democracy with its partners to help in organising and hosting an International Conference in Banjul. The Conference slated for Monday 2nd March 2020 at the Kairaba Beach Hotel will attract over 100 women in government, civil society and the private sector from The Gambia and abroad. The Conference will provide a forum for women to discuss the implementation of the National Development Plan in relation to women and governance.

There shall be plenary discussions with panelists drawn from government, the civil society and the private sector. The Vice President of The Gambia, Her Excellency, Dr. Isatou Touray will deliver the opening statement.

Other Key Panelists will include:

Rohey Malick Lowe, Mayoress of Banjul

Madam Fatou Kinteh, Minister of Women Affairs, Children, and Social Welfare

Fatou Jagne Senghore of Article 19

Naffie Barry, President, The Gambian Women’s Chamber of Commerce (GWCC)
