Mr Lamin Njie, Senior Programme Officer at the Community Development Unit under the aegis of FIOHTG has recently joined other Africans in Arusha, Tanzania for the training of trainers on the participation and engagement with the African Commission on Human and Peoples Rights through the use of regional and international human rights mechanism.
The training is organised by the African Centre for Democracy and Human Rights Studies in collaboration with the International Service for Human Rights and Pan African Lawyers Association.
Primarily, the training aimed at enhancing the capacity of the participants on human rights advocacy mechanisms to ensure the promotion of political and socio-economic rights and needs of the people for more just and equitable African for all.
The NGO Forum and Ordinary Sessions of Africa Commission for Human and People Rights will take place after the training.
